hmmm
So about 10 days have passed since my last post, and where do I begin. I've made some progress on finishing Lolita, very good. Have no finished any of my bazillion class projects. Almost found a new job, but haven't quit my current job. redid my hair, well it's getting there, it'll be done by later this evening. I've also taken an active step towards making a "to do" list so i can "organize" my life. I guess i'll feel satisfied when I take out a red pen and slowly cross off each responsibility that i completed in a rushed half- assed sort of way. Oh well. I checked out the Murakami exhibit at the Brooklyn museum. It was amaaaaazzzzinnnggg! I swear that exhibit embodies my character. There were so many colors, and shapes, and little alien creatures. I was in love. I also had 2 bags of cotton candy, which was also amaaaazzzzzinnngggg! I want a cotton candy machine. I feel like that would cheer people up.

Coincidences
Sometimes you sit back and think about your day and just stare blankly. Uneventful, but somehow you still feel drained. At 11:30pm i decided to check my email. Of course no one sent me anything other than a couple of face book notifications regarding a friends new added favorite movie, and a new picture tag. Shocked i saw a response from a great teacher I had taken two years ago. I am young so two years really is nothing. My favorite teacher in high school, Mr. Pasquier. He was a real character, purple pants, practically a giant and French. He looked at life in a very different way, and every chance he got he would poke fun at our silly little high school concerns. He introduced my French class to film noir, something I would not discover and appreciate for many years later. Well anyway, I had written him an email. Being nostalgic i remembered his class, and high school and for a quick second saw how much i missed those days. I wrote him an email and to my surprise he responded. The email was really enlightening. He sent me this link that really made me stop and think. It's weird, a tiny clip almost made me cry. The site is devoted to alternative teaching methods and styles that should be promoted. Anyway the clip described how education is killing creativity in children. I coudlnt' agree with the clip more. I guess take a look and see what you think:

Being Part of Something
I'm new to this whole blogging thing but it's really remarkable. How something so conceptual and basic like the internet breathes life into a whole realm of creativity and connection. Whether it be fashion, music, information, gossip, or just entertainment everything is seriously a click away. I stumbled into the world of blogs looking at fashion styles from all over the world. It's an escape or even better a fantasy world where anything is possible.
